Whiplash and Concussion Diagnosis

An Energy Medicine Short Summary

Did you know that there is a missing link not known to conventional medicine regarding resolution of chronic whiplash and post-concussion syndrome headaches and pain?

That’s right. Conventional medicine and even so called integrative doctors all focus their treatment on the brain swelling and soft tissue trauma issues. These aspects of post traumatic injury are important, however, a major missing link in the diagnostic and treatment equation is the reversed motion of the base of the skull.

In 1983, I had the good fortune of studying with a chiropractor from Ireland, a Dr. Cleo Bludworth. Dr. Bludworth was one of those genius type practitioners who had a broad spectrum of knowledge and an incredible understanding of functional anatomy. He taught me that the human skull is a dynamic system consisting of 28 bones, sutures, dural membranes, blood, lymph, and cerebrospinal fluid flow and most importantly that there was subtle motion located at the base of the skull. It is this subtle motion that gets reversed from the whiplash and concussion trauma. Unfortunately, there are very few practitioners worldwide that even know that this motion even exists. It is this reversed motion that increases the tension in the craniosacral membrane system which is responsible for the chronic post-trauma pain and neurological dysfunction.

A perfect example was a patient, Johann, who was referred to my officer evaluation and treatment for chronic headaches, cervical pain and low back pain. He had suffered these symptoms for six years even though he underwent chiropractic, physical therapy, medical, acupuncture and other treatments. Most patients are literally walking time bombs. My clinical experience of over 55 plus years has revealed that many post-trauma, chronic pain patients have an underactive thyroid that is not being diagnosed and treated. An underactive thyroid provides the basis for muscle and ligament weakness, fatigue, sleep issues, and diffuse pain patterns. Key to successful treatment is to define and resolve the “splinters” or initiators of the underactive thyroid and evaluate and correct the reversed motion of the base of the skull.

Treatment involved nutritional supplements to remove the toxins from his thyroid and a comprehensive cranial manipulation to reset the balance of the cranial bones plus reset the motion of the sphenobasilar motion. Immediately following the cranial adjustment, Johann stated that his 6 years of headaches, neck and low back pain totally disappeared. Only through a comprehensive approach, will chronic pain patients realize total resolution of their symptoms.
